Top Water Activities on Siargao
As you could have expected, being on an island there are a bevy of water activities to choose from. So here is my list.
There are three main islands off the coast of Siargao where your boat will take you. You can either contract a local boatman or have your resort set it up for you. You should be paying somewhere in the range of 750 – 1000 PHP (US $15-$20) per person with food included. You will most likely spend most of your time in Daku in a beach hut eating the freshly cooked food.
Starting in April, Lupita Adventures will be offering a weekly sunset cruise. This is an all inclusive boat with great food, drinks and a DJ on board. At 1500 PHP (US $30) per person you’ll be sure to enjoy the sunset with good food, drinks and great company.
Ok, this one is obvious, but its obvious for a reason. Siargao is the surfing capital of the Philippines. Whether you’re a beginner or expert go out and enjoy the warm water, friendly conversation and see what makes Siargao famous. For a more extensive surf experience check out Lupita Adventures for single to multiple day surf trips on their newly remodeled boat.
Looking to find a hidden gem on the island? Make your way to Sugba Lagoon to see water there that almost looks fake. There you can eat, drink, be merry and swim around with stingless jellyfish! Normally this trip is only available by taking a 1HR van ride to the other side of the island then getting on smaller boats there, but Lupita Adventures is now offering the entire trip by boat and also has a couple of secret stops on the way.
Siargao has one of the most extensive mangrove forests in the Philippines. For a nice day trip rent some paddle boards for 400 PHP (US $8) and take a habal habal to the mangroves and let the adventure begin!
